Dieses Problem habe ich nicht, da ich einen Deckenventilator einsetze, der gegen die Decke bläst.
Von dort verteilt sich die Luft die Decke entlang und gelangt so auch oben ins Innengerät.
Generell habe ich durch den Deckenventilator in allen höhen gleichwarme Luft.
Ohne Ventilator hatte ich in den oberen 20cm eine sehr warme Luftschicht, die dort festgehangen ist.

Wir haben auch einen Deckenventilator, der nach oben blasen kann.
Aber ich empfinde den Luftzug selbst auf niedrigster Stufe als unangenehm im Herbst/Winter = Heizbetrieb.
Unsere Klimaanlage bläst ca. 45° auf niedriger Stufe nach schräg unten, das reicht uns für die Durchmischung der Luft.
Im Sommer dagegen macht der Ventilator die Klimaanlage an den meisten heißen Tagen überflüssig.
Raumtemperatur wäre eine sehr träge Messung. Da muss man eher schon Tage vergleichen, wo man aber schwer die äußeren Bedingungen gleich halten kann. Aber klar, darüber kann man auch einen groben Überblick bekommen, wenn Tage vergleichbar sind.
Bei der Auswurftemperatur kann man hingegen unmittelbar etwas über die momentane Effizienz sagen.

Meine Klimaanlage hat gar keinen richtigen Eco Modus... Aber wie gesagt, wenn die Solltemp gleich der Isttemp die so auf ca. 300W runter, variiert um ein paar Grad je nach Lüfterdrehzahl.
@arsmachina Ist auch kein Problem, eher ein Vorteil daß ich 5 Grad kältere Luft aus dem Nebenraum auch auf der Oberseite dazu mische.
Momentan läufts mit Stufe 4 pendelt zwischen 170 und 370 W. Nebel und 2 Grad außen sind noch kontant. Vielleicht bleibts noch ein paar Tage so.
Morgen ist Stufe 2 dran.

Zum Thema Takten
Ich habe eine interessante Beobachtung gemacht, die ich allerdings nicht wissenschaftlich belegen kann: Bisher war das Innengerät im Wohnzimmer so eingestellt, dass die Luft ca. im 40° Winkel nach schräg unten geblasen wurde. Aus irgendeiner Eingebung heraus habe ich vor 3 Tagen den Winkel minimal horizontaler auf ca. 45° verstellt. D.h. die warme Luft wird etwas weiter hinein in den Raum (und wohl auch etwas vermehrt aus der geöffneten Zimmertür ins Haus) geblasen.
Der Effekt war verblüffend!
Bei etwa unveränderten Außentemperaturen von ca. 5 - 6°C hat sich die Zahl der Taktungen erheblich auf jetzt nur noch 2 - 4 pro Tag reduziert.
Ich kann nicht ausschließen, dass die geringere Zahl an Takten auch andere Ursachen hat. Aber mir erscheint es plausibel, dass der Sensor im Innengerät später reagiert, wenn die Luft etwas weiter weg in den Raum geblasen wird.
Die Änderung der Luftströmung war wirklich minimal, darum bin ich ziemlich baff über den erheblichen Effekt.
Wie verhält sich denn der COP bei minimal Leistung hat das mal jemand der abgegebenen Wärme gegenübergestellt?
Wir haben eine Panasonic hz25xke in einem 45m2 grossen Anbau.
Die Anlage hat die bereits von anderen beschrieben 10min Takte gefahren. Gnadenlos.
Wenn ich das Zimmer warm machen wollte, ist die Anlage zunächst mit voll power gefahren (1.500W Stromaufnahme) und dann wenn der Zielwert erreicht war die 10min Takte gefahren.
Ich habe den Tipp hier aus dem Forum befolgt und habe die Zieltemperatur auf die Innentemperatur gestellt. In diesem Fall 16 grad und die Anlage gestartet.
Nach anfänglicher Phase (ca 10min) mit ca 650 W, hat die Anlage runtergeregelt auf 350W. Danach habe ich manuell immer den Zielwert schrittweise um 0,5 oder 1 Grad erhöht, bis der wirklich benötigte Zielwert erreicht war. Also 20 Grad. Der Process hat vermutlich eine Stunde oder so gedauert. Ich habe dabei nicht ständig auf die App geschaut und bin auch nicht wirklich nach einer echten Regel vorgegangen. Mal zu spät, mal zu früh.
Auf jeden Fall ist danach die Anlage 6 Stunden sauber durchgelaufen. Dann kamen 5x 10min Taktungen, danach hat sich die Anlage von selbst wieder auf 350W eingependelt. Es könnte sein, dass dies durch eine Enteisung des Aussengeräts ausgelöst wurde. Die Signatur in der Stromaufnahmekurve ist da nicht eindeutig.
Nun klingt 350W ja sehr viel im Vergleich zu den 160W gemäss Dokumentation, aber für diese Anlage und für unsere Situation ist dies durchaus zufriedenstellend. Es fliest Wärme in ein benachbartes Zimmer ab (durch eine kleine Tür).
Ich habe die Anlage seit dem Einbau eigentlich nie benutzt, da ich von den Takten super genervt, bzw enttäuscht war.
Jetzt habe ich Hoffnung.
Ich werde das ganze jetzt genauer analysieren und per Home Assistant steuern und optimieren. Evtl. reicht ein HA Programm zum Starten der Anlage.

Es hat übrigens 2x auf gleiche Weise funktioniert. Also das schritweise Hochstellen der Zieltemperatur.
Man sieht übrigens in der gemessenen Innentemperatur des Innengeräts, dass diese beim Einschalten von 16 Grad innerhalb von Minuten auf 20 Grad hoch geht. Also thermischer Kurzschluss, was vermutlich ursächlich dür die Taktung bereits von Anfang an ist.
Das Takten bekommt man gut wie du beschrieben hast mit HA in den Griff. Die Frage bleibt was man macht wenn man mehr als Minimalleistung braucht?

Wenn man mehr als Mindestleistung braucht stellt man die Solltemperatur hoch. Ich verstehe das Problem weiterhin nicht.
Hier kann man sehen wie ich das mit nem Temperatureingabefeld (Schieberegler ginge auch, da gerate ich nur manchmal mit den Wurstfingern drauf und verstelle ungewollt die Temperatur) gelöst habe:
Als Vermerk: Hier steht die Solltemperatur auf 19 Grad weil "Absenkung" eingestellt ist. Mache ich den Schalter aus, würde die Solltemperatur auf 22 springen (oder was ich sonst da unten eingebe).
By the way: Mein Klimamann war diese Woche wieder hier und erneut fasziniert. Er fragt sich jedes Mal warum meine Anlage soviel weniger Saft zieht als seine. Der größte Faktor ist sicher die örtliche Begebenheit - aber ich bilde mir ein, dass das Tuning sowohl dem Wohlfühlfaktor als auch der Effizienz zu Gute kommt.
Ich kann jedenfalls nicht sagen, dass die Anlage im unteren Leistungsspektrum einen Effizienzverlust hat.
Da könnte auch ein Umbau des Sensors viel bringen. Der Regler der Anlage ist ja sehr aggressiv eingestellt. Kleine Regelabweichungen sorgen dafür, dass die lospowert. Unsere MHI ist da ähnlich. Ich hab den Sensor jetzt wesentlich unempfindlicher gemacht. Wenn es 18 Grad sind gibt der dann 18 Grad an die Anlage, bei 15 Grad aber z.B. nur 17,5 Grad. Das hab ich so realisiert, dass ich einen doppelt so großen NTC genommen habe und parallel dazu einen Spindeltrimmer. Mitunter brauchts auch einen 3mal so großen NTC, um noch unsensibler zu werden.
Und dann den Sensor auch noch zusätzlich ordentlich gedämmt, dass der schön träge wird.
Die HZ scheint ja der VZ recht ähnlich zu sein, aber den Vorteil zu haben moderner zu sein und deshalb immerhin den Wert der Innentemperatur weiterzugeben (ok, HZ hat kein Heatcharge).
Bei meiner Singlesplit steuere ich die Innentemperatur komplett per ESP. Damit läuft sie bei eingestellten 17 Grad auch bei Bedarf den ganzen Tag mit 210-250 Watt durch. Diese Steuerung kann man nur nicht abstellen weil der ESP immer eine gewisse Spannung abgibt. Wahrscheinlich könnte man mit mehr Elektronikkenntnissen auch noch ein weiteres Bauteil einbauen um die Spannung bei Bedarf abzuschalten.
Ich kann jedenfalls zwischen der Mindestleistung und 350-370 Watt wählen - was mir erstmal ausreicht.

Kannst du denn den COP abschätzen (man kann es ja grob herleiten wenn man weis wie Vorlauf Rücklauf der z.B. Heizkörper in dem Raum war bei Außentemperatur X und Innen Y)?
Die Klimas heizen weniger Räume als die Zentralheizung, deshalb ist das Abschätzen schwierig.
An einem ungünstigen Dezembertag (feuchte Luft um den Gefrierpunkt) ziehen die Klimas 40 kWh aus der Leitung. Die Gasheizung hätte bei dieser Außentemperatur und in etwa gleichen Innentemperaturen 150-180 kWh Gas gebraucht.
Denkt man sich die unbeheizten Räume bei der Klima dazu käme ich wohl auf ca. 55 kWh, was einen COP von ca. 3 ergeben würde.
An einem wärmeren Tag wie gestern ziehen die Klimas 20 kWh. Die Gasheizung hätte 100 kWh Gas verbraucht. Gibt einen COP von ca. 4 (5 bei den Klimas aufgerechnet für unbeheizte Räume).
(Ich weiß, COP ist was anderes, weil ich die Effizienz der Gastherme nicht kenne. Es ist eh nur ein Näherungswert. Oder schlicht ein Faktor, damit ich abschätzen kann ob ich damit Geld spare oder nicht).
Beheizte Fläche (Klimaanlagen) sind 175 qm. Einige Ecken sind nicht perfekt temperiert. Wegen der Förderung, bei der ich noch 65% abgreifen kann, werde ich zusätzlich ne LWWP einbauen lassen. Klimamann macht das auch und die Investition bleibt im Rahmen.
Das rechne ich mir so schön: Jetzt gebe ich nur 10.000 aus. Ich kann auch alles so lassen, muss aber in 15 Jahren ein Äquivalent von heutigen 30.000 zahlen. Nach einmaligem Einbau rechne ich für den Einbau einer neuen WP aber auch nur mit einem Invest von maximal 20.000, womit ich aufs Gleiche rauskomme, dafür aber mir wahrscheinlich 15 Jahre keine Gedanken um den Gaspreis oder den Schornsteinfeger machen musste. Außerdem stelle ich Spielkind die WP eh so materialschonend ein, dass sie erst in 25 Jahren die Grätsche macht
