@schwuppe This MASON280 DIY box is suitable for EVE280K/280/304, CALT/CALB/LISHEN280 cells, and other cells that have similar dimensions (72mm174mm202mm)

There is no research or experimental evidence that flat placement of LFP prismatic aluminum shell cells can affect performance. If it does have a significant impact, the wall-mounted style battery packs will not be produced at all. The engineers of LFP cells manufacturer are more professional than you think

you may read different scientific papers than we do.
Some weeks ago we discussed the case of how LIB shall be oriented in use based on some Chinese scientific paper.
The paper suggests that there is a difference in aging of the cell.
We also discussed failure mode of a cell when overpressure burst’s the safety valve. The overpressure causing the valve brake would spray out a significant the electrolyte when the cell is not standing up right. Unfortunately I can’t find the related paper here anymore.
Bottom line are there a many of different perspectives on this subject and we couldn’t find any common ground.
